Unique wood from Arctic wilderness

Thousands of lakes | Clean nature | Wild forests

Arctic trees are made to survive from freezing cold winters and in wild they can live up to hundred of years.

Wondering in Nordic lush forest is an experience, where you can find a wide range of wood species from leafy birch trees to pine trees standing alone on a barren rock.

Finnish wood is strong and made to last time.

Products

Each piece of sawn timber represents an individual and unique tree cut from nature’s abundance. High-quality materials are made to stand the test of time, and we are committed to supporting responsible and sustainable forestry, not only for a better environment but also out of respect for the beauty of nature.

Finland is known for its beautiful forests and thousands of lakes. Its trees grow for hundreds of years, and each sawn timber plank embodies nature's evolution and resilience in adapting to challenging cold climates.

Birch

Birch features a light appearance and is commonly used for flooring, furniture, paneling for both interior and exterior walls, as well as decorative building details.

Birch allows for a range of applications based on the level of visible imperfections.

Quality grades:
E: Both sides of the wood are clean, with no visible imperfections, making it the highest quality grade suitable for premium applications.
A: One side is clean, while the other may have minor imperfections, suitable for visible surfaces where one side is exposed.
AB: Both sides have imperfections, but the wood is still usable for less visible applications.
FG: Frame-grade. All sides have imperfections, and this grade is typically used for structural elements where appearance is not critical, such as beams and framing a house

It has a consistent and appealing grain pattern and offers moderate moisture resistance, although it should be treated for excessive humidity or water exposure.

Commonly used in framing, roofing, interior and exterior trim work, and lightweight furniture, spruce is valued for its durability, light-weight and ease of use in construction projects.

Specialty: Light-weight/low-density, extremely durable, easy to use.

Pine

Pine is highly adaptable and most affordable softwood with a light brown color and distinct grain patterns, often featuring knots.

It is easy to work with, cut, nail, carve, and stain, making it ideal for construction, flooring, cabinetry, furniture, paneling, siding, and decorative moldings.

Specialty: Pine's natural resins provide some resistance to insects and decay, and it also offers good sound insulation properties.

Thermo wood

Thermo-wood is timber treated with heat and steam to enhance its natural properties, making it more durable and stable with improved resistance to weather, insects, water, and fire.

This chemical-free process results in a rich, darkened appearance that is both luxurious and practical for exterior paneling, sauna boards, and various indoor and outdoor applications.

Thermo-wood requires treatment with wood oil, paint, or wax to prevent fading when exposed to direct sunlight.

In addition to heat treatment, all wood is also available to be planed and pressure-treated.

Available in pine & spruce.

Flux Exports combines cultures and brings Finnish quality to the world market

Zagro Aziz Selim & Rene Halttunen Flux Exports

About us

About a year ago, we were walking in the beautiful nature of Helsinki, talking about our dreams for the future. The purity and beauty of the nature around us evoked a sense of dignity in the forest, which is abundant throughout Finland. We realized what a gift from nature is was to walk in woodlands.

Finnish forests, adapted to survive harsh winters and grow during brief summers, produce exceptionally durable wood. This slow and steady growth results in straight-grained wood, making it both strong and easy to work with.

So, they decided to build a business around the idea, and thus Flux Exports was born, with the purpose of delivering our unique, high-quality Finnish timber to the middle-east.

Zagro, with strong connections in Iraq due to his family roots, decided to return to his hometown of Erbil, bringing a piece of Finnish nature's gift with him.

We want to create value by closing the gap in distance between middle-east and Finnish forests, by offering quality building materials suited for especially building projects, which demand quality.

As the founders of Flux Exports, we, Rene and Zagro, are proud to foster cultural cooperation worldwide, beginning with showcasing this natural treasure in Erbil’s Build expo.

We strive to be a beacon of inspiration, showing how dreams can be realized through dedicated vision and effort.
